Best Summer and Health-friendly Drinks
Summer is here and we need to keep our bodies hydrated. If you do not drink enough fluids, you will become dehydrated, which will have a direct effect even upon your oral health (bad breath syndrome, for example).
The best summer and health-friendly drinks are those which will contribute the greatest amount of water to your body. Water hydrates your body from the inside, while all the other ingredients such as sugar or caffeine will only do a lot of harm. Tooth enamel, for example, can be destroyed during one summer of drinking two liters of sugary soda per day. Here are some tips to keep yourself hydrated:
Water. This will refresh your system and keep you hydrated during the hottest of days. Whenever you are thirsty, make sure to begin with water. Those who cannot drink water from the tap should purchase a good filtering system for the water.
Flavored water. There are many types of bottled water available which are fused with a special essence or flavor. The water does not contain any helpful fluoride or harmful sugar or colorants; it simply has a fine and subtle aroma of strawberry, lime, lemon, berry or orange.
Black tea and Green tea. Try to drink the iced tea without any sugar and in a few days, you will get used to it. Adding a lot of sugar to the iced tea will not do any good to your health.
Iced coffee. The decaffeinated version is much healthier. Add only low-fat milk or cream to your iced coffee and then sip one or two such coffees during the day.
Natural juice + water. Place apples, oranges, carrots and a slice of lemon in a juice extractor. In a glass, mix half juice and half water to make a healthy and nourishing drink that will keep you hydrated during the day.
