Recommended by the American Dental Association, a comprehensive examination of your teeth, bite, bone structures and soft tissues is conducted during initial and annual visits and as needed during checkups and other appointments.

These visits allow us to watch for early signs of decay, gum disease, oral cancer, or other dental problems and spot clues to whether oral problems are actually symptoms of other diseases.

Two checkups per year are usually sufficient. If you have special problems or are at high risk for conditions such as periodontal disease, we may see you every three months.

A routine visit will include a professional cleaning, an exam and possibly X-rays. We will discuss your health history, allergies, medication use, drug reactions, recent illnesses and chronic diseases. Feel free to discuss your concerns or anxieties. We are here to help you achieve and maintain a healthy smile.
